Copenhagen, Denmark, May 26, 2014.  The second seminar to be held at the RVDC in Denmark is a about talent recruitment, talent identification, and talent development in volleyball.

Talent will always be a relevant subject in the world of volleyball and elite sport in general.  There have been many new developments in this very important area over the past few years.  For this reason ‘Talent’ has been selected as the second topic for the FIVB/CEV Regional Volleyball Development Centre in Copenhagen’s second seminar.

“We are looking forward to welcoming coaches from all over Europe, and in fact the world, to an exciting seminar here in Denmark.  We have planned a great program, where the head coach of the Danish men’s national team, Mikael Trolle, will be among the speakers at the seminar,” says Sven Brix, Elite Director of the Danish Volleyball Federation and RVDC Director.

“We are currently trying to get one or two more personalities to speak at the seminar.”

“I am very happy to see that the FIVB/CEV Regional Volleyball Development Centre we established in Copenhagen is already working on its second seminar and that the topic selected is of such a great importance to volleyball and to any elite sport for that matter,” CEV President André Meyer points out.

“It goes without saying that without successfully developing new talent we would simply be crossing out the future of our sport.  At the same time, this task is not a simple one and the exchange of ideas at seminars like this is crucial to finding the Volleyball stars of the future.”

The FIVB/CEV Regional Volleyball Centre in Copenhagen’s Development Talent seminar will consist of presentations, discussions and break out work groups.  Throughout the seminar the participants will be encouraged to take an active part, by contributing their own knowledge about working with talent thereby sharing insightful perspectives with each other.

The Talent seminar will take place alongside the U19 NEVZA Volleyball Championships and they in turn will be a very real part of the seminar and will be used for relevant situations.

The seminar will take place from 18:00 on Monday, October 13, to 16:00 on Wednesday, October 15, at the FIVB/CEV Regional Volleyball Development Satellite in Ikast, Denmark.
